Your book, in plain terms

Terms of Use and Sale

Version of

This is a translation. If it differs from the French version, the French version prevails.

These terms describe the Héritage service, its digital book and its welcome offer. They are offered by QUALIA LP, an Ontario limited partnership, 2967 Dundas Street West, Suite 207d, Toronto, Ontario, M6P 1Z2, Canada, Ontario business number 1001111214. For any question, write to [email protected].

Purchases are made through Stripe Managed Payments. Link (Stripe) acts as Merchant of Record, collects payment, and handles applicable taxes, invoices, and payment-related support. The selling entity is shown on your invoice. QUALIA LP provides the Héritage service and its support.

Your use of Héritage is governed by these terms. Your purchase is also governed by Link (Stripe)’s terms for buyers. Our refund and cancellation policy forms part of these terms. You can read and save these documents before you buy.

Who can use Héritage

Héritage accounts are reserved for people aged 18 and over. After signing in, your account remains provisional until you complete the welcome, including your date of birth. If that date indicates that you are under 18, access is blocked and your account is scheduled for deletion. This restriction concerns the account holder, not children mentioned in an adult’s memories.

Access to the sessions

The sessions and the preparation of the digital book begin after purchase. Payment opens every period of your life, then the outline and the writing that you start yourself.

Your digital book

Payment opens the sessions over your whole life, then the outline of your book, the writing of the chapters, the correction of the text, the download of the file, and 20 photo restorations with no time limit. It does not start the writing automatically: you can keep telling your story before you approve the outline.

The price is the price shown on our Pricing page at the time of purchase, paid once. There is no subscription. Printing and shipping a paper book are not included. The file is a PDF or a printable HTML document, depending on the format available.

Your welcome offer

New accounts receive a welcome price, sent to them by email, for 72 hours from their first portrait reveal after registering. The end date is shown in your personal space. It does not start again at each visit or on another device. A payment opened before the offer ends keeps the price confirmed when it was opened; a payment opened again after the deadline uses the standard price.

The time limit applies to the purchase price, not to the time you have to tell your story or prepare the book. Your purchase sets no deadline for preparing your book.

14-day commercial guarantee

If you change your mind, you can ask for a full refund of your Héritage purchase within 14 days of payment. This guarantee remains available even if you have started using the service. It is in addition to your legal rights and does not limit them.

Asking for a refund

Write to [email protected] with your account’s email address or your invoice reference. Do not send us your bank details or your card number. We pass the request on to Link (Stripe), which collected the payment and handles the refund.

You can also ask for payment help or a refund onLink (Stripe)’s buyer support site, or from the support link on your receipt. In certain cases, Link may issue a refund up to 60 days after payment, including when we leave a support request unanswered for 48 hours.

Refunds are made to the original payment method where possible. How long a refund takes to appear on your account depends on your bank or payment method. For a legal withdrawal, the applicable refund period runs from receipt of your withdrawal request.

Legal right of withdrawal

You have fourteen days to withdraw from a contract concluded at a distance. Héritage opens access to your book as soon as you pay without asking you to waive this right: your 14-day legal right of withdrawal therefore remains intact, alongside our 14-day commercial guarantee.

You can notify your withdrawal by email, use the form below, or contact Link support. Link also applies the legal withdrawal periods relevant to your purchase.

One-time payment, no renewal

Héritage is paid for once, at the price shown on our Pricing page at the time of purchase: the standard price, or the welcome price sent to you by email during the 72 hours of your offer. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal to cancel. Deleting your account does not automatically trigger a refund: contact us to request a refund or a withdrawal.

After a refund

A full refund disables the book concerned: the sessions, the plan, the writing and any edits stop, including writing already under way, and the restoration credits linked to the purchase are removed. What is already written stays readable and downloadable, and shared reading links keep working. The same applies as soon as a payment is disputed with a bank; the book is enabled again if the dispute closes in the payment’s favour. Your memories and the files already created are not erased; they stay in your account export, and files already downloaded remain yours.

Legal guarantee of conformity

The service and the digital content benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity provided for in Articles L224-25-12 et seq. of the French Consumer Code. In the event of a defect, you can ask for it to be brought into conformity; where the legal conditions are met, you can obtain a price reduction or the termination of the contract. This guarantee is mandatory and nothing in these terms limits it.

Your words, your choice

An artificial intelligence suggests the text from your memories. You must read it over: errors are possible. You can correct each chapter before you download your book. The downloaded file remains yours, and you pass it on yourself to whoever you choose.

Payment and support

Payment takes place on Stripe’s secure page, which confirms the price and taxes before you pay. Access begins as soon as you pay, without any waiver of your withdrawal right. Link emails your receipt and invoice with their PDFs. Your invoice is also available in My account. For payment questions, write to [email protected]. For other questions, see Héritage Help.

Complaints, applicable law and mediation

For a complaint about Héritage, write to [email protected]. For a dispute about your payment, also contact Link (Stripe) support.

The mandatory rules of French consumer protection law continue to apply, in accordance with Article 6 of the Rome I Regulation. These terms do not limit your mandatory rights or your right to bring a claim before the competent courts.

The consumer mediator competent for the Héritage service has not yet been appointed. Their contact details will be published here before purchases open.
