Your book, in plain terms
Terms of Use and Sale
These terms describe the Héritage service, its digital book and its welcome offer. They are offered by QUALIA LP, an Ontario limited partnership, 2967 Dundas Street West, Suite 207d, Toronto, Ontario, M6P 1Z2, Canada, Ontario business number 1001111214. For any question, write to [email protected].
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record and collects purchases. It provides payment-related support and handles refunds. QUALIA LP provides the Héritage service and its support. The Paddle entity that sells you the product depends on your country and is shown on your invoice; for purchases in France, it is Paddle.com Market Limited.
Your use of Héritage is governed by these terms. Your purchase is also governed by Paddle’s terms for buyers. Our refund and cancellation policy forms part of these terms. You can read and save these documents before you buy.
What stays free
You can tell your whole childhood free of charge, then read it over, listen to it, correct it, and export it for as long as your account exists. What you have already told is never taken back, whether you buy or not. After purchase, the interview continues over the rest of your life.
Your digital book
Payment opens the rest of the interview over your whole life, then the outline of your book, the writing of the chapters, the correction of the text, the download of the file, and 20 photo restorations with no time limit. It does not start the writing automatically: you can keep telling your story before you approve the outline.
The price is the price shown on our Pricing page at the time of purchase, paid once. There is no subscription. Printing and shipping a paper book are not included. The file is a PDF or a printable HTML document, depending on the format available.
Your welcome offer
New accounts receive a welcome price, sent to them by email, for 72 hours from their first sign-in after registering. The end date is shown in your personal space. It does not start again at each visit or on another device. A payment opened before the offer ends keeps the price confirmed when it was opened; a payment opened again after the deadline uses the standard price.
The time limit applies to the purchase price, not to the time you have to tell your story or prepare the book. Once the offer has ended, your free memories remain available.
14-day commercial guarantee
If you change your mind, you can ask for a full refund of your Héritage purchase within 14 days of payment. This guarantee remains available even if you have started using the service. It is in addition to your legal rights and does not limit them.
Asking for a refund
Write to [email protected] with your account’s email address or your invoice reference. Do not send us your bank details or your card number. We pass the request on to Paddle, which collected the payment and handles the refund.
You can also ask for help with your payment or a refund directly on Paddle’s buyer support site, or from the support link in your purchase confirmation. Paddle’s refund policy applies to payments, in addition to our guarantee and your legal rights.
Paddle makes the refund to the original payment method where possible, within 14 days of the request being accepted. For a legal withdrawal, this period runs from the receipt of your withdrawal request. How long it then takes to appear on your account depends on your bank or payment method.
Legal right of withdrawal
In principle, you have fourteen days to withdraw from a contract concluded at a distance. When you ask for immediate access to the digital content before this period ends, access begins only after your express consent and your separate acknowledgment that you lose the right of withdrawal, as provided for in Article L221-28 13° of the French Consumer Code. A confirmation is then sent to you on a durable medium. Without these two agreements, your legal right remains intact. Our 14-day commercial guarantee remains available in every case.
You can notify your withdrawal by email, use the form below, or access your transaction on Paddle.net. For eligible purchases, Paddle also offers a withdrawal option in its customer portal during the legal period.
One-time payment, no renewal
Héritage is paid for once, at the price shown on our Pricing page at the time of purchase: the standard price, or the welcome price sent to you by email during the 72 hours of your offer. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal to cancel. Deleting your account does not automatically trigger a refund: contact us to request a refund or a withdrawal.
After a refund
A refund removes access to new paid writing and to the restoration credits linked to the purchase. Writing already under way may be completed. Your memories and the files already created are not erased by the refund; files already downloaded remain yours.

Legal guarantee of conformity
The service and the digital content benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity provided for in Articles L224-25-12 et seq. of the French Consumer Code. In the event of a defect, you can ask for it to be brought into conformity; where the legal conditions are met, you can obtain a price reduction or the termination of the contract. This guarantee is mandatory and nothing in these terms limits it.
Your words, your choice
An artificial intelligence suggests the text from your memories. You must read it over: errors are possible. You can correct each chapter before you download your book. The downloaded file remains yours, and you pass it on yourself to whoever you choose.
Payment and support
Payment is handled by Paddle. Before you pay, the summary shows the contents, the price including tax, the immediate access you have requested, and the two agreements relating to withdrawal. Your invoice is available from My account. For any question: the Héritage help page.
Complaints, applicable law and mediation
For a complaint about Héritage, write to [email protected]. For a dispute about your payment, also contact Paddle support.
The mandatory rules of French consumer protection law continue to apply, in accordance with Article 6 of the Rome I Regulation. These terms do not limit your mandatory rights or your right to bring a claim before the competent courts.
The consumer mediator competent for the Héritage service has not yet been appointed. Their contact details will be published here before purchases open.
